It started as a simple idea — get the old teams back together for one more summer. Weeks later, across two titles and a run of weeknight matches, the Alumni Summer Showdown has its champions.

Counter-Strike 2 — Munchbunch. Munchbunch came through the CS2 bracket and saw off Cache Me If You Can in the final to take the title.

Valorant — John and the Piglets. On the Valorant side, John and the Piglets got the better of Project Mongolz to be crowned champions.

Congratulations to both — and to every team who pulled a roster back together and got back on the server. That was the whole point.

Every match was streamed live and dual-casted across Twitch and YouTube, and the full library — group stage to grand finals — is up on the Ireland Esports Leagues YouTube channel. Missed a game, or want to relive your team's run? It's all there.

And it goes further than the prize money. Every entry this summer goes back into the scene, helping fund the Collegiate Series for the players coming up behind — the alumni keeping the league alive for the next intake. That's the reunion doing its job.

Relive the finals and every match at youtube.com/@IELeagues — and subscribe so you're first in when the next one drops.

See you soon - the 10th Collegiate Series is looming.
